La Matriz Sagrada Scholarship 

Melipona Collective started the La Matriz Sagrada Scholarship in 2023 and officially gave the first two scholarships in 2024. This scholarship was started to empower BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) teen parents and their children by providing financial support for their higher education pursuits. Our scholarship aims to break down barriers and create opportunities for these individuals to achieve their academic goals.

Our scholarship program offers financial assistance to cover various educational expenses, including tuition fees, textbooks, and other essential resources. We believe that access to quality education is a fundamental right, and we are committed to ensuring that it is accessible to all, regardless of their circumstances.

By supporting BIPOC teen parents and their children, we are not only investing in their individual futures but also contributing to the overall progress and empowerment of our communities. Education has the power to transform lives and break cycles of inequality. Through this scholarship, we aim to create a ripple effect of positive change that extends far beyond the individual recipients.
